HISTORY

Founding

The CREATE team has collectively over 20 years of experience at flagship public, private, urban, and highly intensive research institutions. It is this unique background as admissions and financial aid personnel, that enables our team to advise a variety of audiences.

The CREATE TEAM has counseled parents, students, high school administrators, community-based organizations, and foundations regarding all aspects of the post-secondary journey as it relates to access and success beyond high school. The CREATE Team has worked with students across demographics including rural, suburban, urban, transfer students and more... representing traditional, private, charter, and independent secondary institutions.

As 1st generation, underrepresented undergraduate/graduate students, including being the native products of the city of Detroit, MI educational system, the founders of CREATE have an ardor and expertise for advising urban at-risk youth.  Their personal stories coupled with their experience of visiting, admitting, and financially awarding students from our nation's top urban centers, fuels their current work for access, equity, and exposure for this population.

“We are keenly aware via our own families, friends, neighborhoods, etc... of the privileges of having a post-secondary plan and how it can positively transform an urban student's life.  It can unequivocally  change the trajectory of a student's family for generations to come.”
